T shirt Refashion to Kids Pants

Old T-shrits are just so useful. You can use them to make a lot of stuff. I tried pants for my girl since I seldom buy or make any pants for her, as I just really like to put her in skirts or dresses. But if you go out play or somewhere a bit cool,  pants are quite useful.

OH Halloween!

Halloween, oh, a handcraft-holic would never miss Halloween, especially if she/he have kids!
A month before the crazy started, I started planning what I should make for E and B to wear when they trick and treat. The problem is E is 4 years old now, you can't just put him into a bear or monkey outfit and expect him to be happy with it. He has his opinion upon almost everything, and he starts picking up his outfit every morning before school... So, I have to ask him first: E, what you want to be this Halloween?
There is another story. My mother-in-law gave us quite a lot of the apple app store gift cards to buy kids music and movies online, so we purchased a butch of Disney movies. The time they were watching is Aladdin. My husband used to love this one, and so does E. He was quite obsessed at that moment, so he said, I want to be Aladdin!
What a relief! I was really worried he would be another super hero this time, not have problem with it, just again, we are in Singapore, a place has summer all year round, dress up like ironman or spiderman under 87 degree will be miserable.
Aladdin will be another story. And so easy for me to work on. Since brother already decided and sister is too young to give any opinion, she will be the matching princess Jasmine.
As for material, I chose super thin cotton.
And we are so happy that nobody dressed up the same as our kids, and to our surprise quite a lot of people recognise them at the first glance!

Also for the super hero fan, I made a simple Batman hat for him to wear to school during the Halloween month. He likes it too.

Winter Dress

Living in a tropical country, I seldom have opportunity to make winter clothes for the kids. But since we will go back visit family in the States for the Christmas, I decide making a winter dress for B to wear.
Really have not much to say about the dress. I just really like this style.

Summer Christmas

Okay, I know it is totally weird to update this one-but I just got here from my list, so anyway I will do it.
Christmas outfit for girls.
Actually it has be a while since I made this, as now is almost Easter. I still remember I had severe morning sickness with my third time pregnancy when I made the outfit. Just several days before the making I visited ER at midnight since I had bad stomach pain. Luckily nothing happened. It might be the shots the doctor gave me at ER I actually felt much better after that, and then first thing I planned to do is finishing this outfit for B, since Christmas was really close.
I ended up buying a white top for doing some embroidery and appliqué, and made a ruffle skirt for her. The skirt is much more easier than I thought, and the appliqué wasn't too bad. She got a lot of compliments wearing this, it all worths the work!

Polo Shirt Refashion

I should write this one long time ago... Anyway, before the blogger app on my phone worked perfectly, as I can upload pictures and write my blog directly from my phone, which is really convenient and easy. I can do the work when waiting for the bus, or waiting for the noodles to be done, you know, anytime at anywhere. However, when I started this polo shirt blog, my app stopped working and can't do anything afterwards.
So frustrated. But good thing is, after that once shirt refashion, I did two different styles, and they all seems to be quite successful.
First is why I have polo shirts. Well you know, my husband is quite a fan of polo shirts, but he doesn't really like the authentic Polo brand ones, he likes the Nike ones and it's more like a golf shirt. Since they have narrow fit and he feels better in them. So, He bought quite a lot of them and won't really try before buying - he thought he knew the right size. But maybe the brand shrink their size for half a inch or what, they are running smaller now. So after wearing them for a day he said he felt hard to breath, and give them all to me.
Second is you know when you graduate or go to camping or something, you will have these group shirts that you'll wear once at the event, and will be left behind. My dad used to wear them when he does housework like fix the pipe or so, but mine shirts are too small for him. So I have to find a way to get rid of all of them.
Here you go. I go with three styles: one is a play set for baby girl. It has a cute little sleeveless top with ruffles, and a pair of shorts - if you can tell they are from the two sleeves of husband's shirt. Second is a play dress for little girl. Classic look and really easy and fun. Third is the easiest, cut them smaller for my boy. He loves to dress after his dad. So, as you know, a happy ending for everybody.
