I love embroidery. Before machine I did some hand embroideries. I still insist if I have more time and less projects, I would go back hand embroidery and just make something totally pretty but useless.
Once I was so obsessed with it, I got a plain clock from IKEA for $2, and started doing a background of it. The project went well and turned out to be really pretty, but the only problem is after I installed it back the clock refused to work well-now it became a pure decoration:)

Bohemia Jumper
As I said many many times I like my girl wearing dresses or skirts. Thus, not having too many pants or jumpers for her. Actually jumpers are also more work to make :) But as she grows older and runs faster and plays wilder, I figured pants would be better for her movements. So I made some pants out of old T shirts, and finally my mom got me this pattern and I think it would be cute to make a little jumper.
I used one of B's shirt as top pattern and just added the bottom part on. Waist is elastic so adjustable. and I put full snap buttons at the bottom as she still wears diapers. The top different colours of snap buttons are the point of this jumper as otherwise it would be too dark. I also made myself a dress out of the same material, and finally we have something match!

The Izzy Dress
I knew this pattern for pretty long as it is quite popular on Pinterest. But never thought I would make one until saw my mommy friend made one for her girl and it was fabulous. AS soon as we got home, I started making this Izzy dress.
I thought about tops but actually dress is easier, you don't need to think what to match and just save time in the morning. Actually she loves it! I usually wouldn't use black or check for my girl, as there are so many pretty colourful materials. But it turns out just so cute! The button at the back is leftover from baby nest I made for A. And the lace is also matching pretty well and giving the dress extra length. Perfect!

Barbie VS Frozen
Before I had B, I always wanted a baby girl. Just because girls has so many choices as far as dressing them up... Sorry might sound a little bias, as I love my boys just as much! But definitely I made more dresses for the baby girl.
She's a big fan of Frozen, as explained in the other post I have no idea where she gets that... But mom is a big fan of Barbies! So, we made a deal ( or just I understand), I'd made her Frozen dresses, but she also has to wear my Barbie's :)
This Barbie pattern is actually for something like bag or pillow cover, but it is just so pretty I'd like my daughter wear it instead. Details are the buttons in front. They are Paris shopping theme and I think matches this dress pretty well. A typical girl thing.
When we went to Spotlight one day, I saw the snowflake pattern was on sale. I don't even need to ask if she wants. Just found a piece of match satin (that is not on sale) and check them out.
My favourite part of this dress is the cloak can be detached. I crocheted the button holes so they are quite invisible! Yes after years I still remember how to do simple crochet, what a surprise!

My New Baby Clothes
By this Saturday I will be officially "full term": 37 weeks pregnant. To be honest to me this pregnancy seems quite fast and easy, as I did have a very tough first three months of morning sickness and heartburn, but after that I have to say baby A is prefect. I don't ever have stretch marks, or swollen feet, or dramatical weight gain, or full face of breakouts... I still work and play with the kids as usual, I cook the food family like to eat, and drive to clinic to do my examination-don't laugh, this is a big deal here in Asia, as yesterday my doctor saw me parking my car then asked me: are you driving here along? Bravo! So you know, it's not a simple normal thing, hahah.
Anyway, yesterday I washed all the new clothes I bought and made for A. Now some pieces I'd like to show off here as a record. Hopefully they will fit him well and comfy.
My favourite romper set. This might be a right pattern for a boy as they are more "wild". I made a bib too- they are easy to make but quite useful. Start with B I used a lot of this strangle shape bibs, as they are smaller but just enough to clean their little messy.
Another set. This Elephant print is really really soft. Definitely for babies. I made an appliqué and the collar out of a old shirt of husband's. I don't have any pattern so just imagined how to cut the bottom. It's not so perfect if you ask me now... Too wide. But hopefully will still fit.
Overall for A. Same material I made E a pair of shorts. And this one I made an appliqué plus quite a lot of embroideries. But they are way too big... I let B tried on once (She's 2 now) and it fits her just okay. So maybe this one has to wait for a while.

Onesie and pant set. Top from an old shirt that husband never wear. Made appliqué again. I just really love appliqués! they can make your outfit match so easily!

Summer Dresses: Satin Dress with Back Detail, Bee Dress, and Cotton Butterfly Dress with Embroidery Details
Once I was given a half day off from the kids, so of course I hopped on a train and headed to my favourite store. While the deals were not that great, not my kind of buy one get ten free stuff, but I dig out several leftover pieces from a big basket that definitely worth the money. By the way, I like the basket deals and digging is one of my favourite kinds of shopping. There are not that many discounts in Singapore as in the States, but if you pay attention to those baskets inside stores, sometimes there are still things worth buying. Like last week at Toys R Us I got a set of towels for my youngest for only SGD5, so about 3USD. Which is a great deal compare to the origin price of 20.
Simple steps:
1, cut the top pieces and the inner liner. two pieces each.
2, two pieces of bottom.
3, Sew the top liner with the bottom. Leave seam for elastic band to go through. Put top on and add pom pom.
Satin dress. My favourite!!!!
Cotton dress with embroidered details. Her favourite!!
Anyway, I found two pieces of satin, really really awesome beautiful spring flower pattern, two pieces of embroidered cotton, lovely colour, one piece of summer bee pattern cotton, and one piece of shape pattern cotton. All together for SGD 20. The last piece I used half of it on the kitty dress's top part. The rests are here. All made with love!

There Are Dresses That She Does Not Like
You may hear I said a lot like "she loves it!""She really enjoys it!" As if all my hard work worth the time. Actually, that is NOT the case at all. There are quite a lot of things that I made for her and I thought she would really enjoy turn out just like day dream for my self.
I sometimes feel like don't really know my daughter's taste that well. Some pretty dresses that I thought a girl will fall in love at the first glance, she refuses to wear at all. I thought might be that day she's not in that mood, but after trying again and again and again, I realised she does have her own taste for things!
So far she loves everything has figure prints that she can recognise, like Minnie Mouse, Spiderman, Super Girl, Elsa, etc. Other things, really depends...
Here's a dress I made for her and she absolutely not like... I thought if I put some pom pom on it would be some fun add-on points and she may like it. However, no. She looked at it and said "cute", and that's it. I asked her if she wants to try it on, she refused without hesitate. So I have to lure her (forgot how, either she can look at my phone for pictures or she can play with brother's toys while he's not home) she agreed to try on for taking picture.
